The decision to appoint Mr. Dubinskyi was made by members of the regional party organization during a conference of the regional party branch. His candidacy was also approved by the party's Supreme Council. Prior to his election as a People's Deputy, Oleksandr Dubinskyi had worked as a journalist. In 2010 he became a creative producer of the investigative journalism department of the 1 + 1 TV channel, and in 2014 - the host of the Groshi program. In 2009 he headed the editorial board of Kyiv Weekly.

From 2004 to 2009 he worked for the newspaper "Economic News". In the early parliamentary elections of 2019, he ran for Parliament in the 94th majority constituency (Obukhiv and Vasylkiv districts of the Kyiv region). He won with more than 40% of the vote.

"The president set me a task – the party should perform with the highest result in the Kyiv region as compared to the whole country. And this was quite attainable, given the quality of the team that I managed to gather in the regional headquarters, and the will to win, which we demonstrated with colleagues in the parliamentary corps by defeating Poroshenko’s most powerful candidates. We shall come out on top again!” Oleksandr Dubinskyi says.

Artem Kultenko, Artem Kovalyov, Vlad Kovalevsky, and Alla Areshkovych became members of the council of the Kyiv regional party organization.

Oleksandr Kornienko, the head of the Servant of the People party, had previously emphasized that the party's regional branches were not election headquarters and would continue to operate after the local elections.
"We had already promised to establish constant feedback from the people in the course of the parliamentary campaign. This requires party representation. Our regional structural formations will become permanent centers of communication with the residents of each region. We will not impose ready-made solutions from Kyiv but rather will help residents to develop their region. Should there be a problem- we’ll work on solving it together! ” - Oleksandr Kornienko explains.
In addition to Kyiv, conferences were held to appoint the head of the Kryvyi Rih city party organization and leaders in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions.

The Servant of the People political party had set a precedent by winning the July 21, 2019, parliamentary elections and forming the largest faction in the history of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada, which now includes 248 members of parliament. The official ideology of the party is Ukrainian centrism. It involves finding a compromise between different population groups and avoiding the division of the country based on political, ethnic, and linguistic grounds, as well as abandoning left and right extremism.
