The President’s Facebook profile he’s maintained for 4 years under the nickname Peter Lions is a real mine of information to be analyzed. Petro Poroshenko not only commented on the pages of public figures trolling them personally but also shared publications on his page that seemed interesting to him. Moreover, the number of shared publications was much bigger as opposed to the number of comments he made.
Taking into consideration the fact that President Peter Pan’s friends on Facebook were 328 deputies, political engineers, businessmen and experts who obviously followed the Facebook page of their leader, Petro Poroshenko’s shared publications could be regarded as a so-called roadmap for political trolling in favor of the President.
Being guided by that pattern the supporters of Petro Poroshenko could make decisions and correct their line of actions and political statements. Especially when it came to those Petro Poroshenko hated and / or feared the most.
The number of such individuals is up to 10 and their surnames will definitely not be new to you. However, it’s rather interesting to track Poroshenko’s personal hostility to some personalities and how it’s reflected in the publications he shares on Facebook. It’s amusing to get to know the timing of the publications shared and, what’s even more important, the individuals who are considered by Peter Pan-Poroshenko as his main enemies.
Part 1 Yuliya Tymoshenko
Petro Poroshenko and Yuliya Tymoshenko have never been friends. Suffice it to recall that accusations against Petro Poroshenko of corruption and his following resignation from the post of Head of the National Security and Defense Council Ukraine took place at the behest of Mrs. Tymoshenko. After such a situation she went on with the story saying that Viktor Yushchenko asked her to not quarrel with Mr. Poroshenko and move towards each other and hold hands. ‘Viktor Andriyovych, how can I reach out to his hand and take it while it’s already full with something he had stolen?’- was her reply to Viktor.
After the Maidan and Poroshenko’s victory at the presidential elections the figure of Mrs. Tymoshenko who had already served her time in prison didn’t bother Petro Poroshenko at all. Yulya’s low political rating posed no threat at that time. Besides, Mrs. Tymoshenko maintained contact with the People’s Front of Arseniy Yatsenyuk and was represented as ‘a victim of the criminal regime’. She had to accumulate both the support of people and scarce finances. So she initially entered the parliamentary coalition, was assigned as Minister of Ecology as per her quota and communicated with Petro Poroshenko through notorious Oleksandr Onyshchenko.
He was the one to mediate between Poroshenko and Tymoshenko in the period from 2014 and 2016 functioning as ‘a parliamentary problem-solver’ handing over money for voting on laws that were necessary for Petro Poroshenko. The leader of the fraction ‘Fatherland’ was called ‘an auntie’ in the correspondence published by journalist Dmytro Gnap.
It was in May 2015 when Tymoshenko was mentioned on the Facebook wall of Peter Pan-Poroshenko for the first time and there was nothing negative about her in the publication. It was explained in the material ‘Why did Mr. Firtash Play Up to Tymoshenko and the Kremlin?’ by Yuriy Romanenko why Poroshenko had a meeting with the runaway oligarch by name Dmytro Firtash in Vienna where they negotiated about the support Poroshenko needed from Firtash at the presidential elections.
The publication was aimed at complimenting Yuliya Tymoshenko rather than slandering her so that it seemed as if it wasn’t Petro Poroshenko who led a game in Vienna against her but Dmytro Firtash who was the one to blame since he didn’t want to risk going to trial in the USA so he told a wholehearted story of how he had crashed the career of the pro-American politician by name Yuliya Tymoshenko, who had not been supported by the USA and had been even marginalized because of her friendship with Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the situation that followed that is swapping political sides by Oleksandr Turchynov.
The next publication didn’t contain anything derogatory against Yuliya Tymoshenko as well. Petro Poroshenko just rejoiced about his own majesty (he does it regularly on his Facebook page under the name Peter Lions). The publication he shared contained pro-presidential notes of how other politicians would give a UN speech if they were in his shoes.
And only in April 2016 after Oleksandr Onyshchenko ceased his partnership with Petro Poroshenko and Yuliya Tymoshenko left the coalition the publications of Peter Pan-Poroshenko took a more aggressive turn. For instance, he shared a publication made by Oleksandr Suslinskyi, Member of the Union of Journalists since 1985 that was shaming Tymoshenko for offshores and justifying the offshore companies of Petro Poroshenko.
Where do Tymoshenko’s billions come from? In fact, Yuliya Volodymyrivna Tymoshenko and Pavlo Ivanovych were the first Ukrainian oligarchs and billionaires. But it was necessary to betray the last one. How is that to switch from video-tapes rental to gas market monopolization? That is the reason why she hated Dmytro Firtash so much. He actually took her place. And where did her friendship with Volodymyr Putin root? Didn’t the roots grow on their joint embezzlement? Yuliya Tymoshenko is the most desired president of Ukraine by Putin as she is a reliable business partner and his accomplice in crime. I haven’t even expected Poroshenko to be that democratic. Censorship should be imposed in the country at war so that no pro-Russian vermin, the Fifth Column of the Kremlin and other money-oriented riffraff could feel so free and unrestricted here.
All of the following publications that were shared by President Poroshenko regarding President’s political rival at the pending elections gathered their momentum of aggression.
For example, in November 2016 Poroshenko shared a publication of bloger Sazonov saying that ‘Yuliya Tymoshenko stayed quiet not that long after Oleh Lyashko had slapped her in the face suggesting to deprive her of the Ukrainian citizenship for ties in Moscow’.
All other points that Poroshenko paid attention to on his Facebook page were rather predictable. His main theses were similar to those shared by presidential supporters within the same timeframes. Here they are:
Well, it is strange that for the past 4.5 years Petro O. Poroshenko hasn’t managed to get anything more serious on Tymoshenko than just catching her in media lie that was reported by Poroshenko’s puppet think-tank VoxCheck.
But if you know Petro Poroshenko good enough all of the aforesaid has a good explanation: if Yuliya Tymoshenko wins the presidential elections it’ll be necessary to negotiate with her and maybe even pay her just like it all was done in 2014-2016 through Mr. Onyshchenko.
Well, one should be a fool to increase the price by talking trash about this woman publicly. :)
So Petro Poroshenko has to stay silent in public and his personal Facebook page is the only platform for him to let his steam off sharing dirty news about Yuliya Tymoshenko.
